Surgical Procedures
We consider our operating rooms to be among the best in the world. Our staff are highly trained specialists in their own right and have tremendous dedication. Their only goals are to help make your operation successful and your pre-operative, operative, and post-operative experience as pleasant as possible. We operate at two outpatient facilities, Northern California Advanced Surgery Center and the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Mercy General Hospital. Our surgery coordinators will help to determine which location is best suited for your procedure.
Certainly, we realize that any operation is potentially stressful, both physically and psychologically. We and our staff make every effort to minimize this stress at every stage of your procedure. Preoperatively, you will be greeted by the pre-op nursing staff. They will measure your vital signs, have you change into a hospital gown, and start an IV line. Additionally, you will meet your anesthesiologist. We do almost all of our procedures with sedation and a local anesthetic, although occasional patients require a general anesthestic.
